What is Web 2.0 or Social Media?
I am sure that if you have access to the Internet, then you have heard of Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace.
Everywhere you go, you hear of people "Tweeting" or "Posting Their Status".
It is usually the younger crowd that participates in this phenomenon, but more and more older adults are joining the Web 2.0 revolution.
Social Media (also known as Web 2.0) is simply websites that allow individuals to interact with other individuals and become online friends.
It allows one to build a network of "friends" to stay in contact with and share information.
How can participating in Social Media help my business?
What business wouldn't want 100's (if not 1000's) of "friends" to interact with and remind them of the products or services that business offers.
By allowing your business to become a "Real Person" with personality, people can relax and be more friendly with you allowing you to build long term relationships.
On our Facebook page and Mindy's Facebook page, you will read status entries that talk about kids, church, social activities, and many other daily experiences that lets people know that we are just like them and that we are okay.
It is a way of building trust.
